Godwin Consult is a growing and dynamic property advisory and development business. Headquartered in Cork City, but with a national portfolio, Godwin requires a motivated Financial Accountant to join our team and be a part of our growth story.

The role will suit a candidate who is either a qualified accountant or someone who has the equivalent experience within the property or construction industry.

You must be well organized and be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, work very well within a team and show excellent communication skills, building relationships both in the team and externally. You also must show initiative and be able to perform the role with minimal supervision.

Salary is dependent on experience, but a very competitive package is available for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

• Implementation and maintenance of appropriate systems and internal controls

• Debtors’ receipts, creditors payments and reconciliations across multiple entities

• Bank reconciliations

• Setting up on-line banking

• Monthly reporting to Client and Management

• Assisting in preparation of Year End reports for Auditors

• Preparing budgets and cashflows for the year ahead

• VAT & RCT administration

• Identify opportunities for improvements within the finance function and inter-departmental efficiency improvements

• Management of accounts payable and credit control function

• Responsible for the full accounts receivable function

• Monitor and report on monthly and quarterly compliance tasks including regulatory requirements

• General administration and any ad hoc duties, scope to grow

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years post qualification experience in construction or property industry

• Professional Accountancy Qualification

• Proficient in Excel, experience with Xero and AccountsIQ a bonus

• Stock valuation experience an advantage

• Ability to build teamwork and cooperation among individuals and departments

• Self-directed and proactive

• Excellent organisation and problem-solving skills
